Empack Stockholm 2026 takes place 30 September - 1 October at Kistamässan in Kista, the technology district north of Stockholm. Sweden's packaging industry runs on a design culture where restraint is the standard, and that has a direct consequence for exhibitors: a loud stand does not read as confident here, it reads as unserious.

Nordic restraint is a specification, not a mood

The Swedish visual language is specific and it is achievable on a stand budget: pale wood, matte white, one accent colour used sparingly, generous negative space and warm 3000K lighting rather than cold retail brightness. We design Nordic projects to that palette deliberately. It also happens to be cheaper than maximalist builds — spending goes into finish quality and lighting rather than square meters of graphics.

Sustainability is not a talking point in Sweden

It is a baseline expectation, and Swedish buyers know the difference between a claim and a construction. Reusable frame systems, FSC-certified timber, water-based finishes, rented furniture and a documented plan for what happens to every element after dismantle — we specify these as default in Stockholm, and we put the specification in writing for exhibitors whose own customers ask.

Kistamässan practicalities

Kistamässan is a modern, compact venue with straightforward loading and good public transport from central Stockholm — an easier logistics picture than the larger Nordic fairgrounds. Two show days means build-up efficiency matters: we pre-assemble in the workshop and install overnight, so setup does not consume the project's margin.

Timing

For a show opening 30 September, custom production should be confirmed by mid-August. If you are also attending Empack editions in Ghent, Madrid or elsewhere, ask about the multi-edition stand kit — one design, re-deployed, with only logistics priced per city.
