Exhibition Stand Builder
in Frankfurt

Custom and modular stands for Messe Frankfurt, built to the venue's Technical Guidelines. Three Ambiente builds in the last two years. Modular from €150/m², custom from €250/m².

Short answer: Evreka Stand designs, produces and installs exhibition stands at Messe Frankfurt. Our recent Frankfurt work is three Ambiente stands for Porland and Pioli. Germany prices run €150–280/m² modular and €250–400+/m² custom; a 36 m² custom stand is roughly €9,500–16,000 before space rental and venue connections. We handle Messe Frankfurt's stand-approval paperwork; allow eight to twelve weeks for a custom build and six extra weeks if the design needs a permit.

What Messe Frankfurt's rules mean for your stand

Source: Messe Frankfurt Technical Guidelines, as of September 2025 and the construction-heights factsheet (June 2024). Section numbers refer to the guidelines; the German version is the binding one, and individual events may set stricter limits.

The ruleWhat we do about it
No permit needed for a single-storey stand of up to 100 m² and up to 4.00 m that is not a special construction (§4.2).Most 20–80 m² custom stands we build in Frankfurt stay inside this envelope on purpose; it removes a six-week approval step from the schedule.
Permits required for stands over 100 m², two-storey stands, anything over 4 m, closed ceilings, platforms higher than 0.20 m, glass constructions and moving components (§4.2).If the design needs any of these, we prepare the 1:100 plans, sections and perspectives in English or German and file them at least six weeks before set-up (§4.2.1). Construction cannot start before the stamped plans are back.
Height limits depend on the hall and the stand size: in most halls 4.00 m for stands up to 30 m² and 6.00–8.00 m for stands over 31 m² (Hall 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and 5.1: 8.00 m; Hall 4.0: 7.00 m; Hall 6.0: 6.00 m; Halls 1.1, 4.1 and 4.2: 4.00 m; Halls 6.1 and 6.2: 3.70 m). Two-storey structures are not allowed in Hall 5.0. Guest events such as Achema and CPHI publish their own limits. We confirm the hall and the organiser's height sheet before the first sketch, because a hanging banner that is legal in Hall 3.1 is not legal in Hall 4.1.
Rear sides of walls facing a neighbour must be smooth and white above 2.50 m; advertising media at least 1 m back from the neighbour's border; clear inside height at least 2.30 m (§4.3).Back walls are finished on both faces as standard; graphics are set back from the boundary in the drawing, not negotiated on site.
All construction and decorative materials at least flame-retardant class B1 (DIN 4102) or C s2 d2 (EN 13501-1); overhead materials must not drip when burning; floor coverings C fl s1; test certificates kept at the stand (§4.4.1). Styrofoam and similar thermoplastics may not be used.Panels, fabrics and carpets are specified against these classes at purchase and the certificates travel with the stand.
Set-up may begin five calendar days before opening; dismantling must be finished by the end of the second calendar day after the close (§1.2.1). Halls are shared with hundreds of simultaneous builds.Pre-assembly in the workshop is the rule, so the Frankfurt build is assembly, not construction. Everything is resolved on drawing before anything leaves the workshop.

Lead times. Custom stand 8–12 weeks from brief to opening day; modular 3–5 weeks. Permit-class designs (over 100 m², two-storey, over 4 m, closed ceiling) need the stamped plans back from Messe Frankfurt before construction, which means filing at least six weeks before set-up.

How it is delivered. Design in Istanbul with a 3D concept within 48 hours of the brief. Production in our Istanbul workshop with road transport to Frankfurt, or in a German partner workshop when weight or timing favours it; the quotation states which. Installation by our team with local partner crews inside the five-day set-up window.

When not to hire us. For a one-off stand under about 9 m², the organiser's package or a rental stand is cheaper than a custom build and we will say so.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you build exhibition stands at Messe Frankfurt?

Yes. Our most recent Messe Frankfurt builds are three Ambiente stands: Porland in 2025 (the brand's Ambiente Sustainability Award year) and Porland and Pioli in 2026. Their project pages, with photographs and the lessons from each build, are linked on this page.

What does a Frankfurt exhibition stand cost?

Our current bands for Germany are €150–280 per m² for a modular system stand, €180–320 per m² for a Maxima/Octanorm build, €250–400+ per m² for a custom stand and €350–700 per m² for a double-deck. A 36 m² stand therefore lands between roughly €5,800 (modular) and €16,000 (custom). Space rental, Messe Frankfurt's electricity and water connections, and the AUMA fee are invoiced by the organiser and are not in these figures.

How long before the fair do you need the order?

Eight to twelve weeks for a custom stand and three to five weeks for a modular stand. If the design needs a permit (over 100 m², two-storey, over 4 m, closed ceiling), add the six weeks Messe Frankfurt requires for plan approval before set-up.

Who handles Messe Frankfurt's stand approval and fire-safety paperwork?

We do. The Technical Guidelines ask for fully dimensioned plans at a suitable scale, a materials description with certificates, and an escape-route plan for structures that need a permit. We prepare and submit these; you receive the stamped copy before construction starts.

Where is the stand produced?

Design is done in our Istanbul studio. Production is planned per project: our own Istanbul workshop with road transport to Frankfurt, or a German partner workshop when weight, timing or the venue's rules make that the better route. Installation is by our team with local partner crews. We tell you which route applies in the quotation.

Do you serve other German cities?

Yes: Cologne (Koelnmesse), Düsseldorf (Messe Düsseldorf), Hannover (Deutsche Messe), Munich, Berlin, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Bremen. The same nine German venues publish harmonised Technical Guidelines, so the rules above carry over with venue-specific height sheets.

Other German venues: Cologne · Düsseldorf · Hannover · Munich · Berlin. National overview: Germany exhibition stands. Auf Deutsch: Messestand Frankfurt.
