About the Project
Porland's booth at Ambiente 2025 showcased the brand's new collections, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, in a striking setup. The booth design, featuring inspiring corners, beautifully reflected the brand's diverse product range. By seamlessly combining various materials and textures in an aesthetically pleasing manner, the booth became one of the fair's standout highlights. The brand's unique showroom design was showcased at the fair through a combination of horizontal and vertical volumes.
What this build had to solve
The fair
The second consecutive Ambiente is a different exercise from the first. The buyers who mattered last year already know the range, so the stand is no longer introducing a catalogue — it is showing what changed since they last looked.
The venue
Returning to the same hall means the position and neighbours are broadly known in advance, which is a rare planning advantage. Sightlines could be designed against the actual surroundings rather than against a hall plan.
The sector
Porcelain tableware is bought by people who need to hold it. Buyers check weight, rim thickness, glaze and how a piece stacks, because those are what decide whether it survives a commercial kitchen. Any stand that puts the range behind glass has removed the only test the buyer actually trusts.
The build
New collections were given the front of the stand and the carry-over range placed behind, so a returning buyer sees the reason to stop within the first two metres.
