About the Project
Porland's Ambiente 2026 stand followed the 2025 Sustainability Award — the returning brand had to hold that editorial position without repeating the winning concept. Focus: material provenance and new collection roll-out for the European retail cycle.
What this build had to solve
The fair
Ambiente Frankfurt is the largest consumer goods fair in the world and it runs on appointments. Buyers arrive with a route already planned and a book already full, so a stand is rarely discovered — it is arrived at. The job is to hold someone who came on purpose, not to catch a passer-by.
The venue
A larger footprint in the same halls brings the opposite problem to a small stand: it has to stay legible from a distance while still working up close. We planned a clear approach line so the stand does not become a wall that visitors walk along instead of into.
The sector
Tableware is bought by the set and judged by the hand. Buyers pick pieces up, turn them over and check the glaze, so display height and reachability matter more than any graphic — a product behind glass at this fair is a product not considered.
The build
Long open display runs at handling height, with the meeting area set back so negotiation does not block the browsing edge. The two functions were separated deliberately because at Ambiente they happen at the same time all day.
