INTERNORGA 2027 runs 12-16 March at Hamburg Messe und Congress, organised by Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. It is the leading European trade fair for the hospitality and food service industry, and like ISH it has a technical order that has to be placed long before anyone thinks about the stand.

Live cooking is an infrastructure decision

If you make commercial kitchen equipment, you will want to run it. Running it at INTERNORGA means extraction, and extraction means a hood, a duct route, a grease trap, and fire clearances around the appliance. Depending on what you are demonstrating you may also need a gas connection, a three-phase supply heavier than a normal stand, and a water and drainage point for washing down.

All of that is ordered from the venue's technical services on their own deadline. It also constrains where the demo can sit — usually against a hall wall or a services duct, not in the middle of your floor where you imagined it. Design the stand around the extraction point, not the other way round.

Plan for the smell and the queue

Two things surprise first-time exhibitors. First, cooking smells travel and your neighbours will notice; a demo that fills the aisle with fried food will win attention and lose goodwill. Second, a live demo creates a queue, and a queue blocks the stand for the buyers who came to talk business. Give the demo its own frontage and keep the meeting area behind or beside it, not through it.

Why Turkish manufacturers are here

Turkey is a substantial exporter of commercial kitchen equipment — ovens, ranges, refrigeration, stainless steel fabrication — and Germany is one of the largest markets for it. INTERNORGA runs annually and draws hotel groups, restaurant chains, bakeries, catering operators and dealer networks across five days, including a weekend so owner-operators can attend.

Our honest position on this fair

If you are not running a live demonstration, do not build for one. A stand designed around an extraction point you never use wastes both budget and the best position on your floor. And if this is your first INTERNORGA, consider demonstrating one hero appliance properly rather than three badly — the technical order for three is more than three times the trouble.
