ISPO 2026 takes place 3-5 November at RAI Amsterdam — and that sentence contains the year's biggest news in the sports trade. After decades in Munich, ISPO has relocated to Amsterdam under a joint venture between Messe München and Raccoon Media Group. ISPO 2025 was the last Munich edition.

What the move means for exhibitors

Everything you know about your Munich stand may not transfer. RAI Amsterdam has different hall dimensions, different rigging rules, different contractor accreditation and a different logistics profile from Messe München. A stand built for a Munich hall footprint can be structurally fine and still fail its plot in Amsterdam. If you have an existing ISPO stand in storage, the useful first step is a fit check against the new hall and plot before assuming a re-deploy — we do that assessment before quoting anything.

Three days, but the expo floor is two

The schedule splits: 3 November is the Leaders Summit, and the expo floor runs 4-5 November. That matters for staffing, hospitality budget and how you plan meetings. Exhibitors who staff for three full show days overspend; exhibitors who plan for two miss the summit audience entirely. Sportswear and equipment display

Sports products photograph and sell on materials and motion. Hanging garments at reachable height with proper lighting temperature, equipment mounted so a buyer can pick it up, and floor space to actually try something beat a wall of flat graphics. Amsterdam's design-literate audience also notices sustainability in the build — reusable frame systems and FSC-certified timber are worth specifying and worth stating.

Timing

ISPO opens 3 November 2026. For a first edition at a new venue, earlier is materially better: hall regulations, contractor accreditation and rigging orders are all new processes for this show.
