Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 runs 22-24 September at the NEC in Birmingham. This is the flagship of Terrapinn's Solar & Storage Live series — more than 500 exhibitors and over 20,000 registered attendees — which makes it the one edition where visibility is a genuine engineering problem: how does a visitor find you among five hundred stands selling adjacent products?

Standing out in a 500-exhibitor hall

At this scale, differentiation comes from height, light and clarity. Hanging banners and raised structures work at the NEC where hall rules allow rigging; a bright, open stand with a single readable claim beats a crowded one with ten messages. We design UK flagship stands around three decisions made early: what is visible from 30 meters (structure and lighting), what is legible from 10 meters (one headline, not a paragraph), and what happens at 2 meters (live product, demo bench, meeting corner). Everything else is discipline.

The UK logistics reality

Since Brexit, shipping a stand from the EU into the UK means customs paperwork both ways, ATA carnets or duty planning, and buffer days that eat your budget. We remove that problem by producing UK projects through local build partners under our design management: the stand is fabricated in the UK, installed by UK crews familiar with NEC regulations, while design, project management and your single point of contact stay with our team. Storage and safety on the stand floor

Battery storage exhibitors face extra scrutiny: venues expect declared battery chemistry, capacity limits on live cells, and isolation switching. We handle NEC compliance documentation as part of the project so your working storage demo is approved before build-up, not questioned during it.

Timing

For a custom stand at a late-September NEC show, design should be locked by mid-August; UK local production gives us more calendar room than a shipped stand, but rigging orders for hanging structures close earlier.
