Youth House - COP29

About the Project

The stand of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, located in the Green Zone at COP29, was designed with a sustainable and environmentally friendly design approach. Raw and recyclable materials, natural plants, dynamic forms and energetic colors were used in the design of the booth. Different activity areas were created within the stand to encourage active participation of young people. The conference area, which offers flexible seating, hosted different events during COP29 and became one of the most visited booth in the Green Zone. Emphasizing sustainability in both functional and aesthetic terms, the stand design drew attention to the importance of COP29 in green solutions and combating climate change. As Evreka Stand, we always prioritize sustainability and environmentally friendly design approach and offer unique and impressive solutions in line with the values of brands.

Project Context

What this build had to solve

The fair

COP29 was the UNFCCC climate conference held in Baku in November 2024. A COP is not one exhibition but two very different environments: the Blue Zone, run by the UN and accessible only with UNFCCC accreditation, and the Green Zone, run by the host country and open to business and the public. This stand was in the Green Zone, which is where commercial brands can actually be seen.

The venue

Ministry space in the Green Zone sits on the main circulation route, which is good for footfall and bad for noise. Anything that needs to be heard — a panel, a briefing, a handover — has to be pulled back from the aisle edge and given a physical barrier, because there is no acoustic help from a temporary structure.

The sector

A ministry stand at a COP is a diplomatic object as much as a marketing one. It hosts visiting delegations, press and youth programmes in the same footprint, so the layout has to switch between an open public face and a controlled meeting setting several times a day without being rebuilt.

The build

The programme changes daily, so nothing was fixed in place that a two-person crew could not move between sessions. Seating, screens and the signage band were all planned as repositionable rather than built in.
