ANKIROS 2026 runs 22–24 October 2026 at Istanbul Expo Center, and the organiser is specific about where: halls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. It is the 17th edition of the International Iron-Steel, Casting and Non-Ferrous Metallurgy Technologies fair, organised by HM Ankiros Fuarcılık, running alongside ANNOFER, TURKCAST and the International Metallurgy and Materials Congress.

Metallurgy stands are a floor-loading problem first

Most exhibition stands hold products a person can lift. This show does not. Induction furnaces, moulding lines, sand plants, ladles, robotic pouring cells — exhibitors here put machinery on the floor that weighs in tonnes, and that reorders the whole design sequence.

What changes in practice:

The plot survey comes before the sketch, not after. Point loads, floor protection, and whether your machine sits directly on the hall floor or on a spreader plate are decisions that constrain the stand, not the other way round. We walk the plot at İFM before drawing anything for this show.

Power and access get designed in. A demonstration line needs three-phase supply, a route in that fits the crate, and a build sequence where the machine lands before the structure closes around it. Get that order wrong and you dismantle a wall to get a furnace in.

Your stand is mostly circulation. With a large machine in the middle, the usable stand is the perimeter. Meeting space, sample display and storage all have to work in what is left — which is why 100 m² at ANKIROS feels smaller than 100 m² at a consumer show.

The honest bit about timing

ANKIROS is eight weeks out as we publish this. For a full custom build with joinery and a demonstration line, that window is tight — production and hall approvals both need lead time. What is realistic at eight weeks is a system-framed stand with custom graphics and a well-planned machine area, or a refit of an existing structure. If you want a ground-up statement build, the edition to brief for is the next one; ANKIROS runs biennially.

We would rather tell you that now than take a brief we have to rush.

Why an Istanbul contractor matters more at this show

Heavy exhibits already have a freight problem — yours. Adding a stand that also has to cross a border doubles it. Our workshop is in Istanbul, so the structure arrives as a city delivery while your machine gets the logistics attention it actually needs. And if a panel is wrong on build-up morning with a furnace already in position, a two-hour round trip fixes it. A border does not.
