Istanbul Expo Center — İFM — sits in Yeşilköy, Bakırköy, on Atatürk Caddesi, five minutes from Istanbul Atatürk Airport's old terminal and inside the city rather than an hour past its edge. This page is written for people exhibiting there, by a contractor that builds in the halls. If you are visiting a fair and need parking rates or ticket prices, the venue's own site answers that better than we can.

What being at İFM changes about your stand

Three things follow from the location, and they all show up in the quote.

Your crew and your buyers are not commuting an hour. İFM is inside Istanbul, on the European side, next to the airport. For exhibitors flying in, the hotel-to-hall trip is short enough that build-up supervision is realistic — you can actually walk your stand the evening before instead of trusting photographs.

A local workshop makes same-day correction possible. This is the difference nobody quotes for. When a panel arrives with the wrong finish on build-up morning, a contractor whose workshop is on the other side of a border is looking at a redesign. One whose workshop is in Istanbul is looking at a two-hour round trip. We have done the second more times than we would like, and it is the reason installs finish.

There is no freight line and no customs file. For an exhibitor already in Türkiye that is obvious. For an international supplier it is the single largest controllable cost: what would be freight, clearance, ATA Carnet and a customs broker at Frankfurt or Dubai simply is not in the budget here. That money stays in the stand.

Halls and entrances

İFM's halls are numbered; the venue's own correspondence address uses Hol 1 Blok and the main visitor entrance is at Hol 9. The complex announced a new 40,000 m² hall in September 2025 as part of a stated growth programme, and runs a private 5G network across the site — relevant if your stand demos anything that needs reliable bandwidth on a crowded floor.

What we could not verify: İFM does not publish per-hall dimensions, ceiling heights, floor loading or rigging rules on its public site — the technical plans page returns a 404. Any contractor quoting you exact rigging limits from memory is guessing. We request the hall pack from the organiser for each specific fair and design against that document, not against a general assumption.

İFM runs a dense calendar. Among the shows scheduled there: Big 5 Construct Türkiye (15–17 September 2027, its first edition, with Türkiye Infrastructure Expo co-located), Metal Expo Eurasia, AFEX Africa Business Forum, GITEX AI Türkiye, Data Center Eurasia, ISAF security, Istanbul Jewelry Show, MÜSİAD EXPO and Furnishings & Design Istanbul.

If you are weighing İFM against Tüyap: Turkeybuild Istanbul — the country's established construction fair, 49th edition, 27–30 April 2027 — is at Tüyap in Büyükçekmece, forty minutes further west. Different venue, different month, different crowd. In 2027 an exhibitor in building products can reasonably do both.

What a stand at İFM costs

Two separate bills, and exhibitors regularly budget only the first.

Space comes from the fair organiser, priced per m², and it varies by show — dmg events, Tüyap Fuarcılık and the smaller organisers all price differently, and most keep the rate card behind an enquiry form. Ask for it in writing before you commit to a size.

The stand is ours. Cost moves with floor area, storey count, how much joinery versus system framing, lighting, AV and whether anything is hanging. A single-storey custom build of 50–100 m² is a different order of magnitude from a 200 m² double-deck with a meeting room upstairs. We will not publish a per-m² figure we would then have to walk back — send the plot number and size and you get a real number with a 3D concept in 24 hours.
