Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul returns for its 49th edition on 27–30 April 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece. It is Türkiye's established building and construction materials exhibition and, by the organiser's most recent published figures, draws 431 exhibitors and 43,786 visitors from 126 countries, with a hosted-buyer programme of 500+. (The organiser publishes those counters without naming the edition they belong to; a separate 2025 release cites 437 exhibitors and 765 brands from 19 countries.)

Half a century of the same room, and why that matters

Forty-nine editions means something a launch event cannot offer: the numbers are history rather than forecast, the buyer base has habits, and your competitors' stands from last year are a matter of record. You can plan against evidence.

It also means the hall is crowded and your neighbours have been refining their presence for years. A shell scheme with a pull-up banner disappears here. Turkeybuild is a show where the stand itself is doing competitive work, not just holding your logo.

The organiser evidently agrees — the fair runs the Golden Magnet Stand Design Awards, judging exhibitor stands on design. That is unusual, and worth knowing before you brief: at this show, the build is being looked at on its own terms.

Tüyap, and planning around it

Tüyap is in Büyükçekmece, west of the city on the E-5. Two things follow. Your visitors are making a journey, so the stand has to reward arrival — depth, seating, a reason to stay rather than pass. And build-up traffic on that corridor is genuinely slow, which is why we schedule Tüyap deliveries against the traffic rather than against the clock.

Our workshop is in Istanbul, so material moves to Tüyap as a city delivery. There is no border, no customs broker and no carnet in the schedule, which removes the two things that most often push a stand past its build-up slot.

Turkeybuild or Big 5 — and the case for both

2027 gives Istanbul two construction fairs for the first time. Big 5 Construct Türkiye debuts 15–17 September at Istanbul Expo Center. Different organiser, different venue, five months apart.

The honest read: Turkeybuild is where the Turkish market already is, Big 5 is dmg bringing international suppliers and regional buyers in. If you have to choose one and you sell into Türkiye, choose the one with 49 years of buyers.

If you are doing both, say so at the briefing stage. A stand designed once for April and rebuilt in September — same structure, new graphics and a revised layout for a different plot — costs materially less than two separate builds, because the expensive part is the framing, the joinery and the engineering, not the print. We would rather tell you that now than quote you twice.
