Big 5 Construct Türkiye runs 15–17 September 2027 at Istanbul Expo Center (İFM), Yeşilköy, organised by dmg events under TOBB supervision. Stand booking is open; visitor registration is not yet. This is the first edition — dmg is bringing its 45-year-old Big 5 brand into Türkiye for the first time, co-located with Türkiye Infrastructure Expo on the same dates in the same halls.

A first edition changes how you should size the stand

There is no attendance history for this show. None. Any "expected visitors" figure you are quoted is a projection, not a result, and we will not repeat one here.

That is not a reason to skip it — a first edition is when hall position is still open and the exhibitor list is short enough to be noticed in. It is a reason to size differently. Our advice to anyone asking: treat the debut as a strong presence rather than your flagship build of the year, keep the design modular so the investment carries into the second edition, and put the money into what works at any footfall — a stand people can walk into, product you can demonstrate, and somewhere to sit down with a buyer. Save the 300 m² statement for when the visitor numbers are a fact instead of a forecast.

If your objective is depth of Turkish buyer contact in 2027, Turkeybuild Istanbul has 49 editions of track record and published numbers. If your objective is reaching the international suppliers and regional buyers dmg is bringing into Türkiye, Big 5 is the new door. They are different rooms, five months apart, and plenty of companies will want both.

Istanbul Expo Center (İFM) and what it means for the build

İFM sits in Yeşilköy, minutes from Istanbul Airport's older sibling and inside the city rather than out past it. Practically, that means your team, your buyers and your crew are not spending ninety minutes each way. The venue announced a 40,000 m² new hall in September 2025 and runs private 5G across the site.

We build at İFM regularly. Concretely, that means the plot can be walked before the design is signed off, the workshop is the same side of the city as the hall, and a panel that arrives wrong on build-up morning is replaced the same day rather than becoming a two-day freight problem.

What is on show

Sixteen categories from the organiser: building interiors and finishes; concrete and cement; construction tools and PPE; facility management; glass production, technology and machinery; HVACR; heavy construction, plant, machinery and vehicles; marble and stone; MEP; metal, steel and aluminium; offsite and modular construction; solar products and technology; special construction; urban design and landscape; and windows, doors and facades. A free three-day conference programme, Big 5 Talks, runs alongside.

Türkiye's construction market is put at USD 173.56 billion in 2025, rising to USD 226.99 billion by 2030 — that figure is Mordor Intelligence's, cited by the organiser. Note that dmg's own homepage quotes a different, much smaller number for the same market; we are using the sourced one and leaving the other alone.

The co-located show doubles the room

Türkiye Infrastructure Expo occupies the same dates and venue, covering transport, power, water, waste, digital infrastructure and smart cities. One badge, two exhibitor pools. If you sell into both contractors and public infrastructure buyers, the crossover traffic is the reason to be there rather than the show programme.

Why the contractor's postcode matters at this one

For a fair in Istanbul, an Istanbul contractor is not a preference, it is arithmetic. There is no international freight line in the quote, no customs file, no ATA Carnet, no exchange-rate exposure between design and delivery, and no crew flying in. What would be a freight-and-clearance budget at Frankfurt or Dubai stays in the stand.

FAQ

When is Big 5 Construct Türkiye 2027? 15–17 September 2027, Istanbul Expo Center (İFM). Wednesday to Friday.

Has it been held before? No. 2027 is the first edition.

How many visitors will attend? Nobody can answer that honestly yet. There is no previous edition to measure and the organiser has not published a target.

Is it the same as Turkeybuild? No — different organiser, different venue, different month. Turkeybuild's 49th edition is 27–30 April 2027 at Tüyap.

What does a stand cost? Space is billed by the organiser per m² and their rate card is behind a form. Our build cost depends on size, storey count and finish; for Istanbul there is no freight or customs line, which is usually where a foreign contractor's quote gains 15–25%.
