COP29 Baku — Our Exhibition Stand Projects & Lessons Learned

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November 2024. As one of the most significant UN climate conferences in recent years, COP29 brought together world leaders, international organizations, and private sector companies to address the climate crisis.

Evreka Stand was proud to deliver over 1,200 square meters of exhibition space across five major projects at COP29, demonstrating our expertise in large-scale, sustainable exhibition design for high-profile international events.

Our COP29 Projects

Youth House — Our largest single project at COP29, the Youth House served as a dynamic gathering space for young climate activists and delegates from around the world. The design featured open, modular spaces that could be reconfigured for panel discussions, workshops, and networking events.

Azersun — For one of Azerbaijan's leading food and beverage companies, we created a corporate pavilion that showcased their sustainability initiatives and product innovations.

Sea Breeze — A premium real estate and hospitality brand, Sea Breeze required a sophisticated stand that communicated luxury while emphasizing their commitment to environmentally responsible development.

Silk Way Airlines — Azerbaijan's national cargo airline needed a stand that projected their global logistics capabilities while highlighting their carbon offset programs and fleet modernization efforts.

Total Energies — For one of the world's largest energy companies, we designed a pavilion that balanced their energy transition messaging with interactive product demonstrations and meeting spaces.

Key Lessons from COP29

  1. 1.Sustainability is not optional at COP events. Every material choice, lighting solution, and structural decision is scrutinized. We used modular, reusable structures and LED lighting throughout all five projects.
  1. 1.Tight timelines require local expertise. COP events have extremely compressed build schedules. Our network of local production partners in Azerbaijan was critical to delivering on time.
  1. 1.Multi-stakeholder coordination is essential. COP pavilions often serve multiple purposes — corporate branding, diplomatic meetings, press conferences, and public engagement — all within the same space.
  1. 1.Security and compliance add complexity. UN events have strict safety regulations, credential requirements, and venue-specific rules that must be navigated alongside the design process.

Looking Ahead: COP30 and COP31

With our proven track record at COP29, Evreka Stand is uniquely positioned to support exhibitors at future climate conferences. COP30 took place in Belém, Brazil (November 2025), and COP31 will be held in Antalya, Turkey in November 2026 — our home country.
