Silk Way West Airlines
COP29

About the Project
Silk Way's stand at COP29 was crafted with meticulous attention to detail, telling a unique story. The entire booth featured smooth lines, creating a seamless and modern aesthetic. A wall made of natural moss highlighted the brand's commitment to eco-friendliness and sustainability. Clean finishes, achieved through local craftsmanship, along with special attention to every detail, provided visitors with an unforgettable booth experience.
What this build had to solve
The fair
COP29 was the UNFCCC climate conference held in Baku in November 2024. A COP is not one exhibition but two very different environments: the Blue Zone, run by the UN and accessible only with UNFCCC accreditation, and the Green Zone, run by the host country and open to business and the public. This stand was in the Green Zone, which is where commercial brands can actually be seen.
The venue
A curved-form stand is the most expensive thing to get wrong on a temporary floor. Curved panels need a level base and there is rarely one; the substructure has to be shimmed and checked before any skin goes on, and that work has to be scheduled in, not discovered on site.
The sector
Air cargo is a hard sector to represent at a climate event: the product is invisible and the emissions question is the first one asked. The stand has to give the brand a physical presence people want to walk into before that conversation starts, rather than defending a position on a graphic panel.
The build
The continuous line was the whole idea, so the joints were the real problem. We planned panel breaks to fall where the eye does not travel and kept the lit edge unbroken, which is what makes a curved stand read as one object instead of assembled sections.
