About the Project
Azchemco's stand at COP29 was specially designed to meet the brand's needs. The booth design highlighted the brand's sectoral success and products while offering both flexibility and functionality.
What this build had to solve
The fair
COP29 was the UNFCCC climate conference held in Baku in November 2024. A COP is not one exhibition but two very different environments: the Blue Zone, run by the UN and accessible only with UNFCCC accreditation, and the Green Zone, run by the host country and open to business and the public. This stand was in the Green Zone, which is where commercial brands can actually be seen.
The venue
A smaller Green Zone footprint has no room for a back-of-house, which means storage, coats and stock all have to be designed into the visible structure. Getting that wrong is what makes a compact stand look untidy by the second afternoon.
The sector
Chemicals is the sector under most scrutiny in a room like this. The stand has to be specific — which products, which process, which measurable change — because a general sustainability message from a chemical producer is the one thing this audience discounts fastest.
The build
With limited frontage the decision was to spend the budget on one strong face rather than spread it evenly. The approach side carries the product and the message; the remaining sides are deliberately quiet.
