About the Project
Take Off Istanbul is TEKNOFEST's international startup competition — a compressed multi-day pitching, mentoring and investor-connection event. METU Technopark's stand hosted its portfolio startups and investor liaison team.
What this build had to solve
The fair
METU Technopark exhibits as a cluster, not as a company: the stand carries a portfolio of startups that change between events. That is a different brief from a corporate stand — the identity has to belong to the technopark while each startup still gets a place to stand and talk.
The venue
Take Off runs inside TEKNOFEST, which means enormous general footfall and very little of it commercial. The stand had to filter: visible enough to be found by an investor looking for it, not so open that it fills with people who are just passing.
The sector
Startups pitch standing up and in minutes. What they need is not a display case but a place where a founder and an investor can face each other without shouting, repeated enough times that several teams can work in parallel.
The build
Repeatable pitch positions rather than one large presentation point, so the stand does not have a queue and a single conversation cannot occupy it.
