Porland
Ambiente 2024

About the Project
At Ambiente 2024, Porland showcased two distinct stands, each offering a unique showroom experience with dedicated corners for different product groups. Spanning 365 m² across two halls, the stands featured exhibition spaces that seamlessly combined various forms and materials in a fluid, cohesive design. A modular exhibition area was specifically created for the Re-gen series, made from recycled porcelain, emphasizing sustainability as a central theme. Different teams collaborated simultaneously to deliver comprehensive 360-degree fair management, covering everything from logistics and visual design to technical services and carpentry.
What this build had to solve
The fair
Ambiente Frankfurt is the largest consumer goods fair in the world, and it is an appointment fair: buyers arrive with a route planned and a book already full. A stand is rarely discovered here — it is arrived at.
The venue
Messe Frankfurt gives a tight, shared move-in window across enormous halls, so anything unresolved on drawing becomes a problem no one has time to fix on site. The build was specified to arrive complete rather than to be finished in the hall.
The sector
Porcelain tableware is bought by people who need to hold it. Buyers check weight, rim thickness, glaze and how a piece stacks, because those are what decide whether it survives a commercial kitchen. Any stand that puts the range behind glass has removed the only test the buyer actually trusts.
The build
Long, open display runs at handling height so a buyer can pick a piece up without asking. Circulation was planned to bring people into the stand rather than along its edge.
