About the Project

HostMilano at Fiera Milano Rho is HoReCa's largest biennial global fair — where restaurant groups, hotel chains and Michelin-track chefs source next-cycle table and kitchen. Porland's stand emphasised the collection editorial narrative.

What this build had to solve

The fair

HostMilano is the international benchmark for the hospitality sector and it is where European buyers set their reference points. Being present is partly a positioning statement: the brands a buyer expects to see there are the brands they consider serious.

The venue

Fiera Milano is large enough that hall position decides half the traffic. The build was planned to read from the cross-aisle, because at this scale a stand that only works head-on is a stand most visitors never turn towards.

The sector

Porcelain tableware is bought by people who need to hold it. Buyers check weight, rim thickness, glaze and how a piece stacks, because those are what decide whether it survives a commercial kitchen. Any stand that puts the range behind glass has removed the only test the buyer actually trusts.

The build

Restrained material palette and a strong single form, because in a hall this dense the stands that get remembered are the ones with one clear idea rather than several competing ones.
