Porland
One Tower AVM Retail Showroom

About the Project
This isn't an exhibition — it's a permanent retail showroom inside One Tower AVM. Porland's flagship consumer-retail environment was designed for direct-to-consumer premium tableware sales, not trade-fair scanning.
What this build had to solve
The fair
This is not a fair build. It is a permanent retail showroom inside a shopping centre, which inverts almost every assumption: no move-in window, no three-day lifespan, and a visitor who is shopping rather than sourcing.
The venue
Shopping centre fit-outs run under the landlord's rules — working hours, noise limits, fire and exit requirements, and shared service routes. These decide the programme far more than the design does.
The sector
Retail changes who is holding the product: an end consumer buying a set for home, not a chef specifying for a kitchen. Presentation shifts from technical proof towards how the pieces look together on a table.
The build
Specified for daily wear over years rather than for three days of photographs — replaceable surfaces, serviceable fixings and lighting a shopping centre team can maintain.
