About the Project
We offer turnkey stand solutions at U.S. fairs, and one of those projects was RSG Stones' stand at Coverings. The stand was designed in a modern style that highlights the brand's natural stone and marble collections. The booth stood out with its asymmetrical form, elevating the brand above its competitors. Designed to resemble a showroom, the stand effectively showcased the brand's product collection to visitors.
What this build had to solve
The fair
Coverings is North America's largest tile and stone exhibition, and the audience is architects, specifiers and distributors. Material is chosen here for projects that will be built years later.
The venue
Stone is the heaviest thing a stand can carry. Slab weight decides the floor loading, the fixing method and the build sequence, and it has to be resolved with the venue before the design is finished rather than after.
The sector
Natural stone is sold on variation — the thing a photograph cannot show. Specifiers come to see how the veining runs across a full slab, so display size matters more than display quantity.
The build
Full-slab presentation rather than sample tiles, lit from an angle that reveals surface rather than flattening it.
