About the Project
UDT (Undersea Defence Technology) Bremen is the world's leading undersea systems fair — sonar, submarine, unmanned undersea vehicle procurement. STM's stand presented Turkish submarine and unmanned underwater vehicle programme capabilities.
What this build had to solve
The fair
UDT is a conference first and an exhibition second — the audience is naval engineers and programme officers moving between technical sessions. Stand traffic happens in short bursts during breaks, not continuously.
The venue
Because everything happens in the gaps between sessions, a stand that takes time to understand gets skipped. The layout had to make the offer legible in the seconds a delegate spends deciding whether to stop.
The sector
Undersea systems cannot be demonstrated in a hall — the product works in an environment the fair cannot reproduce. The stand has to carry the argument through data and conversation, which means seating is the functional requirement.
The build
Meeting-led layout with acoustic separation, because a conference-linked exhibition rewards the stand that can hold a twenty-minute technical discussion.
