IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show runs its 61st edition on 31 March – 3 April 2027 at Istanbul Expo Center. The 60th runs 30 September – 3 October 2026. The organiser describes IJS as one of the top five international jewellery events in the world, and it is the region's leading show — which means the stand standard on the floor is high and a plain shell scheme reads as absence.

A jewellery stand is a security and lighting brief before it is a design brief

This is the part that separates jewellery from every other sector we build for. Two constraints shape the whole thing.

Security is structural, not an add-on. Locking display cases, a controlled entry line, a safe or overnight removal routine, sightlines that let your team see every case from where they stand, and a stockroom that is genuinely closed rather than curtained. These decide the layout. Deciding them after the visual concept is signed means rebuilding the concept.

Lighting is the product. Gold, diamond and silver each want different colour temperature and beam angle, and a case lit at the wrong Kelvin makes good stock look cheap. Jewellery lighting is close-range, high-CRI and low-heat — heat inside a sealed case is a real problem over four days. This is specified per case, not per stand.

Everything else follows: the counter heights that let a buyer sit and examine, the mirror positions, the back-of-house where a deal actually gets closed.

Two editions a year changes the economics

IJS runs twice — autumn and spring. If you exhibit at both, a stand designed once and rebuilt twice costs materially less than two separate builds, because the expensive part is the case-work, the framing and the lighting engineering, not the graphics. Tell us at the briefing stage if both are in your calendar and we design for it from the start.

For the 60th edition in September 2026 the useful window has effectively closed — it is days away as we publish. 31 March 2027 is the edition to brief for, and six months out is exactly right for custom case-work.

Why our being in Istanbul matters here

Jewellery stands are full of glass, locks and precision joinery — the things most likely to arrive damaged or slightly wrong. When the workshop is in the same city, a cracked case front is replaced the same day. When it is across a border, it is a hole in your stand for four days.

There is also a paperwork point worth knowing: your stock has its own customs and security chain. Not having the stand tangled in that chain too is one less thing that can go wrong.
